the Phaestos Disk (circa 1600 B.C.), both sides of this clay disk have hieroglyphic characters arranged in a spiral. Each was separately impressed using punches. The script has yet to be deciphered.

It was only after uploading this picture that I realized the lady on the other side of the museum case was wearing the disk as a mask
